Hannah Kirn is a UC Berkeley graduate and Visual Development artist from the Bay Area, California. She spent her childhood watching both Eastern and Western animation, drawing her own original characters and creatures modeled after beloved franchises like Pokémon and Disney, dreaming of them becoming official.
She never grew out of it, but since then she’s gained a more nuanced understanding of storytelling and its role in society through her degrees in Anthropology and in Art Practice at UC Berkeley, where she also helped teach a course on comic book creation. She’s earned awards for art at every level in her education and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society.
When she isn’t drawing, she’s playing collaborative storytelling games with friends and family, creating original characters, learning about fossils and animals, and volunteering for the local shelter. Feral kittens aren’t going to tame themselves, after all.
